Yoga, Pilates & Meditation


At Fire Horse Yoga, Massage and Wellness we offer Kundalini & Hatha Yoga and Pilates classes, as well as, Meditation. Classes are up to an hour and fifteen minutes.
 

Hatha yoga is a general term for the basic yoga asanas (poses) and yoga breathing exercises.  At Fire Horse, Yoga For Your back, Hatha Yoga, and Children's Yoga classes all use the hatha yoga asanas and breath including a relaxation at the end of the last class.  Relaxation is an important part of the class. During the relaxation, the use of aroma therapy and sound therapy are incorporated.  To achieve optimal stress relief, these techniques promote a calming and relaxing effect.

Vinyasa Flow The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Vinyasa Flow classes taught by Lindsay Meyer. 

Kundalini Yoga
includes more meditations and mantras (vocal vibrations) along with the asanas and breath, as well as a final relaxation.

Pilates is a method of exercise designed to stretch and strengthen muscles, open joints and relieve tension.  The exercises isolate, activate and condition the deep muscles of the abdominal area and back resulting in a longer and leaner body.  Some of the benefits can include restoration of a balanced, healthy posture, development of strength, flexibility and endurance, muscle toning and elongation, and/or integration of the mind and body.
